| Barbara and Vittorio Cintoli, the owners of Farnesi Apartment, are pleased |
| to let you know their illustrious ancestor Biagio Biagetti. |
| |
| They have opened a museum dedicated to the painter (Vittorio's great |
| grandfather) in Recanati, a lovely town in Marche, where they live, famous also |
| to have gives the natives to Giacomo Leopardi (1798 - 1837), one of the greatest |
| poets of every times. |
| |
| In the family palace there are many of the Biagio Biagetti's works, which you |
| will admire covering the ancient halls of the palace. |

Biagio Biagetti is born in Portorecanati, a small lovely sea town in Marche (centre of |
| |
Italy) in 1887. Ludovico Seitz's* pupil, learns from the teacher the culture of the great |
| |
painters of 1400. |

| German descent. He was the son of the Nazarene painter Alexander Maximilian Seitz |
| (1811/88) and inherited his father's interest in the religious painting of the 1400. |

| Authentic interpreter of "Holy Art", Biagetti executes frescos and mosaics in Rome |
| and in the most important nothern basilicas of the Italy center. |

| 1921: Benedetto XV names Biagio Biagetti Director of the Pinacoteca Vaticana |
| and of the Holy Apostolic Palaces |
| 1922: He founds the Vatican Laboratory for restoration of the Art works |

| 1931: Pope Pio XI entrusts him the restoration of the Michelangelo's "Last Judjement" |
| in the Sistine Chapel |

| 1932/1944: Pope Pio XI entrusts him the new arrangement of the "Pinacoteca |
| Vaticana" |
| |
| 1932/1944: Executes important works and restorations in Vaticano, he writes and |
| keep conferences on the great painters of the Renaissance, receives honours and |
| instructs in the most prestigious Italian Academies of Art and Culture. |

| 1946/1947: He directs the restoration of the Dome of Basilica Lauretana. |
