From the windows of the flat you can admire the Arch of Via Giulia ,
symbol of this street and used by Cardinal Odoardo Farnese to reach
his boats on the Tiber.
The Farnese family was one of the most powerful in Rome and
at the end of 1400 Cardinal Alessandro Farnese who became Pope
Paulus III started the construction of the Farnese Palace and wanted Michelangelo to design the facade and sculpt the monumental family emblazon that you can see, coming from Campo dei Fiori, over
the balcony of the Palace to the glory of the family.
In Rome Via Giulia is considered the antiquarians street, like the exclusive
Via dei Coronari (Piazza Navona) .
If you walk along it you will be able to admire splendid Reinassance
epoch palaces, through the solemn front doors have a look at the
beautiful courtyards, some of them still showing their frescoed
inner facades: the lucky owners are allowed to park their cars inside!
Via dei Farnesi is very near to another historic street of Rome:
Via di Monserrato with its beautiful buildings, some of them going back
to the Middle Age.
